First off I just have to say how much I love your paint! I was so nervousness to paint my cabinets, they are only two years old and gorgeous, but I hated the color. I knew if it came out bad my little do it yourself project would end up costing us big time. I chose your product based on the reviews, so I felt I really needed to add another well deserved 5 star. Plus you can’t beat the ease of Amazon ordering, half way through the project I realized I needed more paint then I originally had and would order and have another can in two days at my door, I even had one delivered on a Sunday!
Second these pictures do not do it justice, they look amazing in person. Anyone who sees them can not believe I did it myself. I have a neighbor who now wants to do hers too!
Your paint was so easy to use, this entire kitchen took me two weeks, and that was only because life and work got in the way. I did it in small sections at a time as to not interrupt the normal function of our kitchen. I did take pictures along the way so I wanted to send you a few to choose from including some close ups of how beautiful the paint looks, and also a before picture so you see what I had to work with. My husband who was terrified of my doing this tells me he is blown away every time he walks into the kitchen! He loves the Vintage White and wanted me to also do the island the same, but I really wanted the contrast and LOVE how the Blackbird looks. I purposely chose not to distress or glaze because I love the color exactly how it is.
“When I saw Poet’s Paint on Amazon, I had to try it. I used Vintage White on this buffet and I’m in love with the Waterglass Paint! Very easy to use with no sanding or priming. It distressed nicely and is smooth as silk. I topcoated with clear and black wax to give this piece a unique aged finish. I can’t wait to use Poets Paint on future projects!” — by Robyn Galindo of PlantationChic on 10-17-14.
“I really like this paint. It is my new go to paint for those pieces that you want to keep a chalky finish on without any sheen. You don’t even have to wax or seal and the paint still stays looking great!”— By Lindsay Krakeel of Krakeel Kreations on October 22, 2014
Just finished a stately Duncan Phyfe style flip top side table finished using a black on top and Poet’s Waterglass Paint in “Vintage White” on the bottom. I just loved the finish on the Poets Paint Vintage White. It dried so hard and smooth. It was easy to distress and left a lovely finish! Check out the original claw feet restored to the original finish! The Vintage White was such a nice contrast to the original brass. Can’t wait to use Poet Paints new color “Blackbird” Black with my next black and white combo piece!— By Tiffany Malstrom of Not So Plain Sophia Jane on November 19, 2014.
